We Built a Free Grateful Dead Music Player — And We Need Your Help
Share
I've been a Deadhead for over 40 years.
Hundreds of shows. Shakedown Street. Singing with cover bands up and down the East Coast. And one thing has never changed in all that time — the music is the thing.
So we built something.
Every day in the shop, this is what's playing. While we pack orders, print tees, and tie-dye in the Florida sun — the Dead are on. It's been that way since day one. The crew and I have been calling it Crew Tunes because that's exactly what it is — the songs we listen to while we work.
Now you can listen along.
What is it?
It's a free music player built right into eDeadShop.com. Stream some of the greatest Grateful Dead shows ever recorded while you browse the store. Pick a show, keep the tab open, and let it roll. No algorithms. No ads. No Spotify telling you what to listen to next. Just the music.
It's interactive too.
Every show has its own comments section. Were you there? Have a memory, a setlist take, or just want to say what that night means to you? Drop it in the comments. This isn't a static playlist — it's meant to be a living, breathing piece of the eDeadShop community.
But here's where we need you.
1. Help us name it. Crew Tunes is what we've been calling it in the shop — but we're not married to it. Got something better? Something that feels more Dead, more community, more us? Leave it in the comments below or hit reply on this week's email. We're listening.
2. Tell us what shows to add. What's your all-time favorite Dead show? The one you were at. The one you wish you were at. The one you've listened to a hundred times and would listen to a hundred more. Drop it in the comments — we want to build this with you.
Fifty years of the greatest live music ever recorded. Dig in. 🎵

2/26/77 swing auditorium San Bernardino ca. I’m biased because this was my first show. Noteworthy, they played Terrapin and estimated prophet in public for the first time. Archived recordings are above average. This show should get more attention. 🤘
